    Hi

I'm looking for a personal trainer to work with for the next 6 months or so.

I was wondering if anyone has used one before and how did you find it?

    i was looking at http://www.personaltrainers.ie

    480 for 12 sessions a month.

    Any recommendations?

really depends where you train, not all PT visit all gym's not all can visit you at home, really and truely you ned to speak with them and then decide.

I will vouch for Icon Fitness lads, mainly as i know Denis from my own gym, and the other guys from TF in Sandyford.

What it all boils down to is self control and will power, can you stick to a healthy diet, and can you force you're self to work hard in the gym. other wise you will be wasting all of you're money .

40 euro is cheap for a personal trainer, sometimes the cheap price makes me believe that they lack confidence! standard would be 50-60 euro, most gyms will only let members do pt as thats how they make there money!! talk to them before booking to make sure they are confident that they can train you well..

Is it possible to get a personal trainer just once or twice ever? Just get them to come to my gym and make me a programme?

Assets Model - I see one every 2months or so, I couldn't afford to see him every week. He just gives me a new program each time. I'd say most of them would be ok with doing it that way.

Although I'd say you'd need to be paying 60euro + to get someone decent. I was paying a guy 40 Euro a session & before and made very little progress with him compared to the guy I see now.
