Has anyone else had a chance to play this yet? What do you think of it?

Currently making my way through the 2nd case and well, i dunno, I guess I expected something more since it's a brand new DS title. Story is
set 7 years after Phoenix Wright 3 and stars new young rookie lawyer, Apollo Justice (lots of in-game puns to be had here!) aided by even younger legal aide, Trucy.

Game mechanics haven't changed all that much - still split into Court and Investigation modes - but with little extra bits like dusting for fingerprints and footprints. Instead of Wright's Magatama (?) thingy, Justice has an errr, magic bracelet which enables him to perceive a person's "tell" or nervious twitch so he knows they're lying - very useful.

Visuals, again, look nice but haven't changed all that much either. Characters have a few extra in-game animations. There have been a few nice scenes so far where the games renders the murder scene in 3-D.

Music is superb as always :)

All in all, i guess if it aint broke...... but I hope the story picks up in the next couple of cases. Want to know what happened to the old gang in the intervening years.

So this is a new Phoenix Wright, without Phoenix Wright, right?

Interesting, I loved all the PW games, I'll have to have a look into this :D

    Yup, should've clarified that :)

    In order, it goes...

    Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice for All
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials and Tribulations
    Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney

Exact same format, exact same courtroom, exact same (immortal) judge, exact same quirky humour. Its good, but more of the same. I want to see Phoenix Wright 2 (not Phoenix Wright Add On Pack 1,2,3....).

Oh, and Phoenix Wright himself hasn't gone away. :)

Couldn't finish Justice for All as felt it was getting too repetitive. They need to give this series a true boot up the ass... because the first one was one of the freshest games in years.

The game has defintiely picked up on the 3rd case. Very absorbing.
Incuritis - best made-up disease name yet
    :)
