    Interesting site here

It claims that Friday the 29th of February is an unpaid working day for most people and they may have a point given that your yearly salary is the same for a year with 365 days as it is for a year with 366 days.

One of the advantages of being paid by the hour. :)

That's nothing... my employers changed were the money that pays me comes from. And the new source requires me to work a back week.. so that means I go a week with out being paid... doesn't seem quite right to me...

Oh yeah... and I'm on emergency tax all of a sudden too for some reason. Yay for me!

Get your old P60 quick smart.

I remember being on that when I was in college and by the time I got round to sorting it out I was being taxed around 50%.

It keeps getting worse and worse. Very annoying.

I'm with almighty, being paid by the hour rocks. Here in the US these chumps actually expect me to work 12 hours a day for a salary. My hole I sez, self employed now and loving it!

Study day! Sounds good. I'd say you're right about people calling in sick too but I'm too honest for that unfortunately :o I've had casual Fridays in my last two jobs and they're great, wearing your own clothes in really helps you wind down for the weekend.

The ONLY advantage of being paid by the hour. :)

    FYP

    Edit:
Forgot to mention, you're not really working it for free, per se. Each year you get paid for 365 and a quarter days, as that's how long a year is (roughly). Every 4 years, this equates to an extra day that you're being paid for, which you then work all at once.

Well I just started a job last year, which I probably won't be doing in 2011, so it's still unfair.
