    Hi All,

I'm new here so go easy!

The reason I'm posting is I'm recruiting for a large number of IT roles with an online poker company.

    The key skillsets are:
C# ,C++, SQL Server Database, Flash, Data Warehouse.

The main problem is the company is looking for people who are PASSIONATE ABOUT POKER. They are prepared to relocate staff from other parts of the world and have asked me to poke around the dusty corners of the internet to find them.

Anyone have any tips on where I should be advertising to attract these people?

    Thanks for your help.

Can you post more information please?
Which company, maybe a better description of the role and what it involves, estimated salary?
Do you work for the company itself or a recruitment agency?

A lot of people on this forum work / have worked for online poker sites, and we have plenty of IT guys, so I would actually post some details here if I were you.

Other than that I would stick an ad up in the recruitment sections of sites like
    eGaming review - www.egrmagazine.com/cgi-bin/jobsearch.cgi?action=search
    gaming floor - www.gamingfloor.com/employ/index.htm

Or just get on your knees and beg pentasia to throw you some crumbs.

Btw those skill sets required are never *really* coupled with the need to be passionate about poker, IT drones can usually just wing it. I know IT people working for online poker companies who don't even know the rules of the game.

Best of luck with the search, I would be surprised if no-one from this forum applied if given the chance.

if they're passionate about poker, though, they are more likely to have good job satisfaction "working doing something they love".

That means, among other good things, you can pay them less.

most likely for Pocket Kings I'd imagine - www.pocketkingscareers.ie ....georgia there aren't many poker companies recruiting in south dublin and most of the posters here will already be aware of them - you'd probably have better luck securing candidates abroad so try out some of the poker forums in the Uk and on the continent

If they are actually genuinely passionate about poker, they are probably the last sort of IT guys you'd want to hire :D. I should know because that was me not so long ago, I spent more time on boards than i did coding ;)
