Already posted in the Fon promo forum here.

There are a few of us with invitations available for getting the Fonera routers for €5.99 instead of the regular price of €25.82.

Send a PM with a name and email address to get one of the invites.

    It's €6 + postage.

You just plug this into an ethernet port on your existing broadband router. This then gives you two wireless signals, one of which is a private one so it's useful if your current router does not have wireless. The other signal is the shared one that only gives access to the external broadband connection and not your internal network. You can control how much of your bandwidth is available for other people to make use of as well.

You then get access to other peoples shared signal when you are out and about for free, and if anyone else connects to your signal at home and they are not a Fon user themselves then you'll get paid for it by Fon.

Here is a map showing locations of Fon routers around the world. There is also far more Fon hotspots about in the UK now than is shown on that page as many BT users will now be getting Fon included in their broadband routers by default. They have a seperate map of these locations on here.

The Fon routers are great, I got mine free a few years back. I decided not to continue with the Fon wifi sharing after the year was up and flashed this router with DD-WRT firmware. It works a dream - supporting WPA2 encryption with a pretty good range and the DD-WRT makes it so much more customisable!
