    Hi All,

I am waiting for my 50mm f1.4 (yay!) to arrive from Kea Photo in HK.

According to the Hong Kong post website it left Hong Kong on the 20th of Feb, but it hasn't showed up on the An Post Track & Trace site yet... I'm sure plenty of people here have gotten deliveries from HK, so I'm wondering if this delay is normal?

    Thanks!

An Post Track & Trace: what a joke. Most of the time it doesn't even recognise codes that originate from An Post.

Postage from HK normally takes 2-3 weeks so you probably have some time to wait yet. Just don't log on to www.anpost.ie every half hour :D

Generally items won't appear on an post tracking until they arrive in Ireland. If you see it in portlaoise mails centre you'll probably have it the next day.

I've never been able to track & trace items that originate outside Ireland on the an post site. But I wouldn't worry about Albert I think 3 weeks is as long as I've ever had to wait from him 2.5 weeks was the shortest.

Ignore An Post tracking system... It never works for items posted from abroad. Anytime I use Kea-Photo I always go for the Fedex or UPS delivery option and I have my item in a few days. I guess just be patient with the normal postal system. It will turn up eventually....

Kea only sells brand new equipment. No need to worry on that score. Most goods are sent by courier (FedEx or DHL) and are delivered to Ireland in 3 or 4 working days. Some stuff (low value) is sent by surface mail and will take a couple of weeks to arrive.

I'm in almost exactly the same position Pope B. Ordered a 50mm 1.8 (yay!) from Kea that also left HK on the 20th Feb and was gettin kinda jittery (just can't wait to get my hands on it I suppose). I'll just have to be patient....

I've actually found post from Hong Kong to be very quick when posted to my work address. I ordered some items from Kea on the 20th February and paid for post. It arrived in work yesterday.

Chinese deliveries are notorious for being slow. I hope you will enjoy this lens.

I just got my 85mm f1.4 delivered from there yesterday. It does thake a while though.... Mine was delivered by UPS and while they were a pain in the ass with delivery, everything came up when I tracked it. Mine was shipped on the 20th and I got it yesterday (although as I said the problem was with UPS once it got to dublin). They didnt ship it from HK for over a week once I ordered it but once it was shipped it only took two - three days to get to Ireland. Hang on another few days, otherwise drop them an email.
