I'm thinking of doing the executive officer exam in the civil service, and I was wondering if there are any grinds or preparation courses available for this exam.

    Thanks for the advice.

Try these standard tests with a view to speed etc.

where and how do you do EO exams anyway? are they advertised somewhere?

To be honest i'd just do the examples they give on the instructions. Don't see the benefit of doing a course.

Exactly... they will publish a test familiarisation booklet shortly.

    My advice would be:

Practise the examples they provide many times to improve your speed of answering the questions.

Remember in the Numerical Reasoning part of the test you only have to get the minimum pass rate as its the score you get on the other two tests that are used to determine your order of merit on the panel.

Get a good nights sleep before the test.

Well thats how i got the job anyway!

I ageee, do lots of practice examples, to be honest its all about getting the most done in the shortest time. Best of luck!

I plan to do the sample questions alright, but they only provide a small number of samples in the booklet. I would really be interested in doing some sort of prepartion course for the exam, so if anyone knows of any could they please let me know...

    Thanks

I would note that the EO competition is only open to certain government departments.
