    hey guys!

i have mates over there in melbourne at the moment and want to head over in may-june for the summer, where would ye reccomend going ro grab the cheapest plane ticket?(thinking usit)

where to get cheapest/best value travel insurance?

do i need to apply for the 1 year visa and have 2500e in my bank account in order to get this 3month(or year) visa?

also in going for 3-4 months would i be able to go back again for my remaining 8-9 months on the same visa in the future?

    thanks in advance;)

If you just land in Melbourne you automatically get a 3 month holiday visa. You cant work with this, and can only stay for 3 months. This sounds like it would suit you best.

If you get a working holiday visa, you can only get this once, and once you get to Australia, it will expire in 12 months (there are now ways of getting a second year extension tho). but you will not be able to come back again to get the other few months which you didnt use, its 12 months from dat of entry and thats that (except for extension). For the one year visa, the bank details arent hugely important, I think they just get you to tick a box if you have the money, I didnt have the money when I entered anyway.

Shop around for flights and insurance, USIT might work out cheapest, but there are plenty of options available

Two lesser known airlines that seem to offer quite cheap fairs are etihad airways , and royal brunei.
