Oh FFS, I was watching Kate Thornton's awful presenting of the Red Carpet

Interviewing Saoirse Ronan for Best Suppt Actress, introducing her as an English & then realising she's Irish & sayin she's 15 & then 13, stopped the interview half-way thru & starting again?

The interviews are cringeworthy, i was lookin around for some other ch. showing it & saw E! Entertainment on Ch.152, Yer man Seacrest was interviewing, but funnily enough the two shows clashed as they were presenting almost side by side, he was showing Jiuliana back at the studio that Kate Thorntons assistant (kneeling down on the ground) was pestering him on whose this & whose that!!

Jeez, unprofessional & unresearched idiots, no wonder she got the shove.

All i can say is the carpet matched the face

It was pretty abysmal. I never really liked her as a presenter anyway. She is terrible.

shocking coverage. left me cold. bland questions, awkward manner, no jokes, no fact checkers. Thornton was incredibly hollow.

Premiere's coverage aint much better so far.

The music kept blaring over the presenter too, and the screen kept cutting to black... It was an improvement over last year anyway, Sky and E! were right beside each other and you could see Sky struggling for guests and pestering people constantly on the carpet and getting shot down!

all v.desperate, did you see on skynews, the presenter asked tilda swinton(sp?) why British films do so well? and she was like wow English language films doing well in America, I don't know why either?? /sarcasm

Saw Kate re-do the Start of her interview with Saoirse Ronan, She was piss poor.
But she also " claimed her as British for the night", As usual when an Irishman/woman is doing well theyre British and when they lose back to being the unlucky Irishman/ woman.
The worst part was when she kept asking her mother if she was sober...I mean WTF.

I watched mostly on E!, but I was unfortunate enough to see her interview with Saoirse Ronan. I think she probably didnt hear Kate Thornton claim her as English, but if that had been me I'd have said it to her if I did. Sorry Kate, but I'm Irish and dont appreciate being claimed as one of your own!

Clearly she learnt nothing from Samuel L. Jackson giving her sh*t for doing the same with Colin Farrell.

I started watching E after a while & saw this Irish person didnt hold back, yer man Ryan interviewed 'Mr Dooblin' Colin Farrell+his mum about something & he looked shocked & said 'come on get yer act together Seacrest, what are you doin-rehashed stuff, jees do better'
Yer wan Thornton would have been chased down the carpet, if she'd have done that to Farrell
