Insurance Question

    The old mans car (00 bmw 318i) needs a new engine according to the garage.
    Will fully comp insurance cover it or maybe even right it off?

    Comp cover is in respect of accidental damage not a maintenance issue as new engines normally are required as a result of.

    What happened, timing belt?
