    most interested in Gutshot
    Loose Canon
    and Empire Casino.

Tourneys not Cash [As I can't afford to do me bollix in Sterling]

May i suggest asking advice in the gutshot forum(er,gutshot.com)
The're a friendly enough bunch and most of them play at the club.

I played at the Vic (Grosvenor Victoria) recently and it was great fun. Really vibrant - tonnes of cash game tables (starting at £0.50-£1), and real donkey players.

They also run tournaments every night. Think the tournies are listed on their website and start at about 7pm.

It's on Edgeware Road so very central.

All you need to do is turn up with your passport to get membership.

yeah vic is by far the nicest cardroom. gutshot is now dead, with crapshoot style donkaments and horrendous cash games with 5 of 9 playing £50.

Just go to the Vic, a 15 minute walk from Paddington station, or tube to the Edgeware Road [on the circle line].

The game selection is very good, and games start early. Its worth arriving early to avoid long lists onto some of the tables.

You'll need to be wearing a collared shirt as well !

It is a nice club with a good atmosphere and the .5/1 and 1/2 cash games are very soft.

    .

I had to go searching London for a pair of shoes on a Sunday afternoon to be let in.

my brother was wearing a hoodie and he had to take it off. He only had a vest underneath, but they let him play in the vest. Funny times. :)

Started out at the empire Leicester square. There was supposed to be a 100 FO on Monday nights but apparently it never gets off the ground. There was twenty pound rebuy crapshoot. Which got 23 runners and I have to confess to rebuying more times than I should have. But the standard was appalling. The place itself is quite smart but they didn't really seem to know what they were doing. best avoid i think. by contrast the Vic was buzzing and I sat down at a 1 / 2 game an came away with three times my buy in - which was cool.
might try loose canon's on wednesday.

Nice stuff. What did you think of the system for booking your seat at a cash game table in the Vic? Fairly funky?!
