I think its about time for me to start taking care of my skin so what do all of you reccommend for a man in his early twenties? I've been looking at a few websites and I was thinking of ordering some Dr.Hauschka or dermalogica stuff??
    Any advice welcome

I use the Dermalogica stuff but am female so can't speak of its use for men. The Dr. Hauschka has a good reputation in general too. My brother uses the Elmis range which you can buy from beauty salons, he finds it very good.

There's no need to go overboard. Keep your skin clean, use an exfoliator to prevent ingrown hairs after shaving. Use a sunscreen through out the year, and a light moisturiser if you have dry skin.

No need to fork out a fortune.

Good thinking as you're now moving into the critcal years where a little care makes a bif difference!!

Keep it simple and focus on making your shave as pain free as possible and your skin as hydrated as possible.

Personally I would go for brands that only make products for men (you'd assume if it's all they make they'd know what they're doing!!!) rather than the repackaged women's brands. My favourites are proraso for shaving and men-u for skincare. Both have stood me in good stead over the last 5 years.

Check the web for some good advice, for example

www.bce-europe.com is a very good site for buying Dr. Hauskha products if you decide to go with that brand. They're much cheaper there than they are in town.

OP, I definitely recommend Dr Hauschka. Its a fabulous brand that favours natural ingredients over chemical, synthetic stuff. So it's great even if your skin is a little sensitive (men+shaving=sensitive) and needs some TLC. I swear by the Rose Day Cream but im not sure if that might be a taaaad too girly for you! :)

I have sensitive skin and I find the Body Shop Aloe wash is very good. If you're super sensitive, then buy a tub of Silcock's base in a pharmacy and use it as a wash (it's non-foaming). It's a non-descript looking jar but it's really gentle, used on babies and people with skin conditions. And it's only about four euro for a 500g tub!
