Would also consider a swap for suitable scope rail or anything else interesting

Real steel G36 rails are not metal either surprisingly. Yet they are able to support the massive passive night vision sight on top of it:eek:.

nope not metal they are some kind of plastic polymer, similar to the rs one as chaos has pointed out
