Came across these on internet but never saw them for sale in shops - asked gun dealer about them and he had never heard of them.

I wonder would they be very unstable causing 'keyholing' at any distance?

Would the normal rate of twist 1 in 16 in a .22LR be unsuitable for these fellows?

    Has anybody ever tried them?

From a quick search on the net, it was designed for 1 in 9 twist
Its a longer round than normal, and it can keyhole in some guns

What's keyholing? I'm unfamiliar with that term.

    target.jpg

Bullets at bottom of target have keyholed - gone in sideways rather than straight which creates a keyhole shape

    Thanks for that :)

When we were over in Vegas late last year, a non-shooting buddy of mine managed to get a magnificent cluster of keyholes in his target; at 8 yards, with an M16 on full auto!
He brought the target home with him, so I'll take a photo the next time I see him and post it here.

AFAIK DOJ blocked their importation a few years back due to the name:eek:

Nope. We (us Paddys and some American buddies) looked in there and decided it was too much of a 'shove 'em through and get the money' place for us.

We went to Discount Firearms over on South Highland.
Nice relaxed atmosphere, friendly range staff, good fun had by all.

I suppose you're right about that! Still, nowhere else had the mighty M249 SAW to fire:eek:! Ahhh memories.... Must try that other place you mentioned next time I'm over.
