Theres a couple of films that I saw some years ago and would love to see again, unfortunatly in both cases, I only saw maybe half of the film and forgot to check the tv listings for the names. So I ask for the help of boards

    Film 1
A film completely shot in a typical American diner, about a guy who is just elected president (I think he comes to the diner to seek refuge from a blizzard outside) and a major international crisis occurs in Iraq where saddams son rules, the new president makes an extreme decision
He gives the order to nuke saddams son (Quesa?)
The film is prob early 90's and I suppose low budget considering the diner, but I dont think its a B movie

    Film 2
This film was released mid-late 90's. Its a film about kosovo and the war atrocities. One very memorable scene, was where a bus full of refugee's is stopped by the army
and some officer takes out a mallet and starts bludgeoning them 1 by 1
There is also a guy nearby hiding in a row boat with a child, which he tries to stop from crying and alerting the army to their presence.

Are you sure it was Kosovo and not near by Bosnia? It sounds alittle like Welcome to Sarajevo which was out in 1997 - I'm not great on the details as I haven't watched the film in ages, I have it on VHS but its currently in the parents attic with the rest of my VHS tapes. There is a scene were
a bus full of refugees is stopped and all the muslim children are taken off but I can't remember if an officer takes out a mallet and starts bludgeoning them

I checked on you-tube for a clip of that film and it doesnt look like it. The film could have been set in Kosovo or Bosnia, Im not sure, but it was def eastern european setting.

    Thanks for the help
