Most of the camera shops in Dublin should stock a similar model.

Gunns on Wexford Street, Camera Exchange on Georges Street, Conns on Clarendon Street, Berminghams on Burgh Quay and Halls on Talbot Street all spring to mind. There's a few more, but I don't remember off hand. :)

I'm sure any of the camera shops would carry one of those. Try the usual places... Gunnes, Spectra, etc...

hi, thanks for the replies. i have looked on a lot of the websites. only problem is that even though they all do mini tripods, none seems to have the ball and socket joint to rotate them. i have a gorilla pod already so it is specifically that that i need.

Are you using an SLR or compact - minitripods, especially the one you linked wouldnt be sturdy enough for an SLR, and some compacts especially if you are using it on portrait mode - it wil just fall over. If you dont want to buy a regular size tripod i'm pretty sure conns hire them out...

i am using a compact, canon ixus 65. i've used the gorilla pod and its fine and i think for what i need it for the mini tripod is perfect. i have a big one too. i want it for better night time shots mainly to avoid camera shake.

Somwhere like Dixons might have it, or something similar

I have this one and you can tilt it to portrait, however it wouldn't hold SLR, compact maybe. If you want to try it first, let me know.

Does anyone know somewhere in Dublin that sells them?

    Maplin, the electronics shop

    Edit: Got mine today

Only the €2 shop on Abbey Street have them. They are, indeed, €2 and they're great. They have extendable legs and a swivelly thread
