    euro legal tender = 1jan 2002 -
11 motor ways in ireland m1/m3/m4/m8/m50
tolls on m1/m4/m50 (East Wall is a bridge not a motorway)

Luas dig started in May 2001

    This is a strange tread

The Euro came into our pockets in Jan 2002.

According to page 14 of this document http://www.transport.ie/upload/general/2564.pdf work commenced on the 2 lines in May 2001.

As for the tolls, the ones I can think of off the top of my head are:
    M50
    M4 - past Kilcock
M1 - near the Boyne bridge
    M8 - Fermoy Bypass

    Other tolls are:
    Port Tunnel
    East Link

I think the section of N6 between kinnegad and kilbeggan has recently been redesignated the M6. So add one to the number of motorways.

Edit: I apologise it hasn't been redesignated yet: http://www.transport.ie/upload/general/10193-0.pdf

However a VERY short section of road in Kinnegad is already designated the M6 so the M6 does officially exist.

    euro jan 2002
luas began work in feb 2000
11 motorways in ireland afaik and 5 tolled could be wrong though:
    • M1, Drogheda bypass section
    • M4, Kilcock to Kinnegad section
    • M8, Fermoy bypass section
    • M50, between exits 6 & 7
    • M50, Dublin Port Tunnel

AFAIK the port tunnel doesn't count as motorway, so technically that toll doesn't apply to the m50

The port tunnel is also part of the N1/M1

I get texts like this all the time from a friend.
Yesterday he wanted to know how Richard Pryor died.

There was a website I saw advertised here a while back where you could text them random questions and they'd search for the answers for you... Anyone know what I'm talking about? I suppose wikipedia's increased popularity and the wide availability of wireless stopped it taking off... But I liked the idea a lot, think I used it once or twice..
