    Hi All

I've been looking at these for sale on ebay as there seems to be none available in the shops here.

There seems to be two types

    1) Where both sims are online at the smae time

    2) Where one of the sims are on standby

My question relates to the second option.. if one of the sim cards is on standby does this mean I still can recive calls on both numbers or do you have to switch?

Also can anyone recommend a good dual sim phone ?

They look nice , but had a look through ebay and they seem quite expensive.

Work will be getting mine so I dont know from where.

My problem is I need a dual sim phone with black berry RIM software also. Infact a triple sim would suit me as we dont use our BBs for anything other than email as a company policy.

I believe there are tripple sim phones out there also.

From a non business POV it would suit many people and orange if they were to sell dual sim phones and target current o2 vodafone customers with the idea that if friends and family buy orange sims also then calls and text will be free and you will also keep your o2 and vodaphone sim, it could be a real runner for them!! Then again thats probably the reason that O2 and Vodafone dont sell dual sim phones here yet.

i found a thread recently on boards.ie (and now i forget the subject of it)...but anyway there was a link to a UK online shopping webstie (deals with IT stuff plus memory sticks, mobiles etc).

they were selling dual-sim phones (i think they were DEC models). anyway, both sims were active at the same time which meant you would receive/make calls on both sims (i presume you can put one on hold and dial the other when making calls).

anyway, they were retailing close to £100 mark, can't remember if that is ex-VAT.

do a goggle.co.uk on DEC and dual-sim phones perhaps.

if i find link again i will post it in this thread.

    hope this helps.
