HTML option in mail merge

Hi, when i try send a mail merge when it comes to sending it if i choose html it doesnt send the email but if i choose plain text it works fine. any ideas why it wont let me send it using html format?

Using the mail merge option in Word 2002 (xp) sending it through Outlook 2002 (xp) - when it comes to the last part where you send it the options are plain text and html, using the html option nothing happens, using the plain text it works fine. This works on another machine so i know it is possible with the same versions
