You asked what the best t-shirt is, but you omitted the all important question on best poster, of which the best one is pretty obvious.

Just entered it twice as myself and once under a fake name. This has "Gonna be abused by campaigners" written all over it.

Why do you need my email address and personal phone number? I have a thing against surveys/forms asking things that they don't need, so I'm not going to respond. More informative surely would have been my age, my sex etc from which some interesting statistics could have been derived. Oh, and you could run into trouble under the Data Protection Act if the personal data is being stored along with the straw polls on who individuals are going to vote for. So many problems...

How many people are going to truthfully respond to a survey that asks for their name, email address AND voting preferences?? I know I certainly didn't......

There really is too much personal information required for this survey, which, to all intents and purposes, is being run by the Phil. I don't want them with that information. I'm not participating.

Why on earth do you think the Phil has anything to do with this? It looks more like Publications to me.

The Phil mailing list went out today publicising this, claiming to be in association with TN. I too was very confused-I can't see how the Phil can gain from this. The ONLY thing that I can see from it was that TN wanted to access the Phil mailing list, so basically the involvement of The Phil is only in name.

So yeah, basically, what you said.

Well, this is what I find puzzling about the whole thing too.

Well basically Gearóid was an officer of the Phil last year, so that's how this opportunity for TN came up. It's a mutual back-scratching; we're not going to see too many articles with any criticisms of the Phil for the rest of the year now.

..'cause we saw so many in the first half? I'd say it undermines TN's credibility to tie itself so firmly to a student society that just like any other large body in college sometimes needs to be kept in check, but really, what credibility?

Oh, and I filled in the survey, though I left out my name. Be interesting to see the results.

Suppose you're right there about the not-going-to-be-any-bad-articles. But the Power List is coming up, wonder if that had any impact on their thinking?

And to be honest, TN has been tied to the Phil for a while now and been a blatant publicity tool for the society for a while now with regard to the agent and evelyn tent.
