yes, download and install dbpoweramp music convertor..... (freeware)
    http://www.dbpoweramp.com/

then download and install the FLAC codec
    http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central.htm (about 1/4 down page)

FLAC files are simply wav files that have been compressed to make them smaller without loosing any of the original data......
whereas mp3 actually are wav files that have had a lot of data removed from them......
FLAC are described as 'lossless' music files whereas mp3 would be described as 'lossy'....

FLAC files (and other lossless types such as SHN) are commonly used by music collectors to share audio files as there is no loss of data from the original recordings.

Cheers man, great info, but its telling me my trial has expired and I just downloaded it ??

Error converting to mp3 (Lame), 'C:\Users\main\Desktop\name of file ___.flac' to 'C:\Users\main\Music\blah blah.... edit
mp3 Encoder trial has expired, purchase mp3 License to continue encoding to mp3. [clEncoder::BeginConversion]
