Hi, thought I'd post here to mention that we have recently opened our indoor laser combat arena to Airsoft. We have been running airsoft games for just over 2 months and the interest and response has been great. We have a forum on ASI and are an official UKARA site. Here is a link to the forum http://www.airsoftireland.com/forums/index.php?showforum=214

This is an extreme CQB site to say the least but very interesting.images are here.http://www.airsoftireland.com/gallery/index.php?cat=11569

I dont know how often any of you get up this neck of the woods to play but we would love to see you anytime. And with our flexibility to book hourly from 10am to 10pm we do mean anytime..

OH, really loved the forum, newbies thread is outstanding, now i know where to direct junior to when he decides to strip a nice new piece of kit just to see how it works(and it never works again).

I have to say that is one fantastic idea!
Looks good, must try to visit sometime!

Only 1 question, whats the rate for a days skirmish?

£5 per hour , pistols or semi auto on aeg only

    still worth a look

nice site, can definitely see myself taking a trip up once we get vcra complications sorted :)

i'll echo Dr Pepper's question, cost?

Edit: hmmmm... £5 an hour, it's a bit steep if your going for a full days skirmish, and i wouldnt be driving all the way to belfast just to play for a couple of hours, any chance of group discounts if several car loads of us wanted to come up and play for the day?

Thx for the heads up, glad to hear laser arenas are open- (and business- :D) minded about airsoft :)

Is it me or does it look a bit cramped/tight/low-ceilinged (to take shots and not bang-kill)?

Need bigger pix, a video walkthru would be fab' (and double up as an advert ;))

Lethal: i dont think a definitive answer has been given on that yet, the last time i was at predator, i had a talk with michaél and he said predator could give us membership so that if we were stopped by the psni we could use the specific defence, however whether membership cards from the IAA are equivalent remains to be seen

we have rental pistols hourly for play is£8. play for the hour is £5 with your own kit. We do run set events for airsoft and charge £15 for the 4 hour session with rentals this would be a total charge of £27. We would do the same for you guys if you were coming up. If you wanted longer we would sort out price so it isnt too steep it depends on what you class as a full day.Advance notice is definitly advised the phone number is 02890485462. We do not run airsoft at weekends except sunday nights after 6pm.

it is EXTREME CQB, some bits are tight hence the handgun usage. We do allow any AEG, but find a lot of skirmishers go to pistols rather quickly, or shotguns, mp5 types etc.
we have helmet cams on way to capture gameplay and then put links to u-tube.We plan for players to video their games and post their own.

guys I dont know if this is a difinitive answer but after reading your comments I phoned a few friends in the PSNI.The consensus was that yes if a sit up here gave you membership then that would be ideal, which any of us official sites can do, but they also felt that if you were not listed as members at a site here as long as you held the equivalent in the Republic and even gave contact details of where you were playing that it would be enough if you were stopped.

So rentals would be our only option, i'd be ok with that, i presume the price includes rental of goggles/facemask?

mate from what I got from friends not at all, as long as you have the equivalent registration down under as we do, or you register with us up here.
As for rental yes, mask and gun for 4 hours is £27.

I was about to comment about that being a great price, until I realised it was pounds and not euro :D

any chance a representative of the IAA could get in touch with one of your contacts in the PSNI to get an official word on this? i.e. something in writing. it's all well and good knowing the cops on the street dont have a problem with it, but having it made official would be great

Hi, further to questions and comments posted in relatiion to bringing your own kit into the north for games, I contacted UKARA, who in turn contacted The Northern Ireland Home Office. He asked about registered holders in the south bringing their kit to games in the north thr reply was this.

    "
I think that the airsoft defence could be met by the player/importer producing evidence of a booking at the properly insured site but he would do well with to check with the HMRC or police that he might be likely to encounter at the point of import that this would do the trick for them."

Dont know if this is again a definitive answer but best i could get.

Hope it helps any looking to play up here in sunnier climates:cool:

That's pretty cool, thanks for digging that up, a representative of the IAA will get in contact with HMRC and the PSNI to try get written verificiation.

Whilst on the subject (and apologies for dragging matters slightly off-topic), since the IAA would be getting in contact with HMRC, any chance of clarification regarding skirmishing/event attendance in the mainland UK as well?
