Saw a headline over someone's shoulder on the Luas this morning that we spend a three weeks communting in this city. So, got into work and busy morning that it is, did the maths.

It worked out at 119 minutes per day - an hour there and an hour back. That's quiet reasonable, methinks - at least in this city it is. Hardly worth splashing an incesed four-inch headline about.

Dunno where I'm going with this - just thought I'd mention it. I'll go home now.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

When I read the title I thought it referred to an explosion of some sort on some train line out fordin.

3 weeks? I guess the point of it is we need to know just how much time we're wasting. I'd say I spend roughly the same amount of time taking dumps, which clearly is not a waste of time. Ying yang etc

You heard a loud bang and saw a flash on an underground rail line in Moscow you say?
In fairness, I spend more than three weeks a year hiding in the toilet in work playing tetris.

I meant "blast" as in to give out, I don't know which paper it was, spelling corrected!

Well it would be if I could change it without opening the thread in the first place. Use your imaginations!

You should buy a dictionary and use the 'three weeks' to bring yourself up to Primary Standard English.

My standard of Englsih is sufficently high enough for the task it hand, my friend. It is however, regretttably, my impatience that suffers when coming to the media hot-pot that is bopards.ie, thus reulting in an admittedly unacceptably high number of typographical errors.

Perhaps my three weeks shold be spent more wisely in deciphering for other souls the perils of assumption?

Which city are you referring to? Where does Alice live?
An hour commute to work would be about normal for any big city in Europe, gridlocks and all that craic.

Yeah, I know Luas is in Dublin but thanks for reading :p

Hence the emphasis on impatience (if I'd taken my time, it would have been a contradiction in terms, now wouldn't it?!)

As regards the title in "non-stupid English": no, unfortunately I can't. When I try clicking or double-clicking on it, it opens the thread. Sorry!
