Did my item get lost?

I bought a item in the US on eBay in January and paid for it straight away on Paypal. A week later the seller sent a non payment notice, I replied back saying I had infact paid (included the Transaction ID etc.) A couple of days later he still hadn't acknowledged my message, so i sent him a reminder but still no response from them. So last week I opened a Item Not Received dispute with PayPal; a week later still no news. Today I contacted them again and finally got a reply:
From Seller: Home Entertainment Group, Inc. on 2/21/2008 16:10 GMT
WE show no non paying bidder notice. Your item was delivered at 1:39 pm on February 08, 2008 in BEDFORD, TX 76021.Arrival at Unit, February 08, 2008, 6:18 am, BEDFORD, TX 76021Processed, February 08, 2008, 12:28 am, FORT WORTH, TX 76161Electronic Shipping Info Received, February 07, 2008Shipment Accepted; February 07, 2008, 8:05 pm, FORT WORTH, TX 76161

I went onto USPS website and entered the Tracking ID and it does state that the item has being delivered and accepted somewhere in Texas.

I need guidance as what to do now. What's the next step? Is it lost? Should I just accept that its gone forever or what? Any suggestions would be appreciated. :)

Escalate the dispute in Paypal to a claim. The seller will then need to provide proof (signature confirming delivery) that you have received the item. Since I assume he won't be able to do this, then the claim will go your way and the seller will need to chase USPS for a refund of the value.

So I should escalate it now?
