    I am currently looking for a copywriter to update / write copy for our website.
    Does anyone have any recommendations as we have not used a copywriter before. We would consider boards.ie members who would like to work on their portfolio.

    Anyone interested?

    I've done lots of copywriting. What's your company, what is the copy about, where are you based & how much work do you need done i.e. how time consuming will it be as I have a 9-5 right now :(

    As a job description, that's pretty vague.

    how about 'Buns are nice, buy some'?

    or, 'Look at our website, it's got links to other websites!!!'

    I'd love to help, really, just throw a bone and I'll get back to you about the whole 'fetch' idea .

    Not unreasonable of us to ask what pay & time committments are involved before following up though, surely?
    This "work on your portfolio" thing sounds suspiciously like you want somebody to work for free..

    Although, to be fair. Anyone half interested/qualified will have gone the PM route, from where they'll get the required info.

    Dear sir/madam,

    Step One, you email me details of your web site, address, target audience, number of pages tone of voice etc, I can then come back with some key questions, then I let you know - plainly - how I will tackle it.

    Step two, if we agree the how, how much, how quick, I get on with it. I email you first draft copy. Tweak it if necessary. Pesto! you have the words you need. All done via the internet, at an internet price.
