:mad:I used to like mark selby but i have to agree with ronnie o sullivans comment say that he is a negative player and does not let the game flow like the other top players. He might comical around the table but lets not forget these are not tournaments for stand up comedians:mad:

I have to say that this is the biggest load of b***s I've ever heard and shows that you know nothing about snooker.

Did you expect Mark to roll over and die, and hand the title to the "genius" Ronnie.

It shows O'Sullivan in a bad, petty light. All's well when the Magician's in full flow but woe betide anyone that has the temerity to defy the great one's relentless march to yet another title.

Anyhow, Mark and his manager don't give two f***s what Ronnie (or anyone else thinks) as they've a nice new trophy and a big cheque, won fairly and squarely by the better man.

Selby's a class act on and off the table. Go to one of the exhibitions he's at next week in Moate or Drogheda and see for yourself.

Let me guess your a Peter Ebdon and Graham Dott(two very good players) fan too. We are not stuck in the 80s any more move on. Over the last 15 years the game has come on leaps and bounds. It is more atracive to watch now and apeals to a much broader community not just the hardcore snooker fans thanks to such players as steven hendry, ronnie o sullivan, mark williams, ken doherty, shaun murphy, john higgins. These are players that try to grab the game by the scruff of the neck and entertain the crowd with ther snooker skills. By the way I never said Mark Selby wasnt any good he is a genious at how he plays the game.

Surely Ken Doherty is far closer to the Dott/Ebdon/Selby style of play than he is to the Ronnie way.

Personally I find snooker at its most entertaining when there is a contrast in styles, so I'd much prefer to see say Selby v Ronnie or Ebdon v Williams in preference to Ronnie v Williams.
