Like I said, anyone know where I could get rid of a Christmas tree now in Dublin (northside, but not picky), preferably free ?

I guess the green waste places which take the grass into the compactor won't take it - anyone know ?

    Help appreciated

Cut the branches off, trim the top until you get to a firm piece of tree & then turn it upside down & use it as a tree stake !

I have my last 5 years worth of trees in the garden & they make great natural stakes. I break down the branches & bury them round azaleas to increase the acidity.........

but then again, maybe you haven't got a garden

I missed the (very short) window for recycling mine, as I was out of the country from Dec 26th. I've been steadily cutting it up and burning it along with logs in the fireplace ever since.

A few years back, a brother of mine shoved the whole thing up the chimney & lit the fire......needless to say there were blue flashing lights involved

There is a green waste centre at Malahide Road Industrial Estate behind woodies. They accept green garden waste just chop it up a bit
