I got Sky installed before Christmas. Now they are doing an offer that if I introduce a friend to Sky they will give them a free Sky+ box and free installation. The whole package I think is worth €194. For my trouble I get €75. So I am looking for somebody who is thinking of getting Sky to make contact with me and I will give them the details.

I got the same and I'm with them since the mid-nineties. Whats it with Sky. Look at the other 2 threads offering 2 more variations - the Sky+ box being the common denominator.

I have 2 vouchers here for any new Sky Customers who want to get a Sky+ box right from the start, instead of the standard box.
I will also be able to upgrade my own as well. :)

Drop me a private message if you are interested.

Edit.... still have them available as of today Wed 21st.

Call sky on 0818 719 840 and quote "share" , also quote the voucher number
Sky will give you a contract number.
You pass this contract number on to your friend, who then contacts Sky with yours and his contract numbers quoting "thanks" .

I still have one voucher available as of today Wed 21st.
if anybody is interested drop me a private message to get a Sky+ box right from the start, instead of the standard box.

A couple of weeks ago, one of the lads in work decided to get Sky. I have on several occasions answered any questions and steered him to Sky instead of NTL Digital. He went ahead and ordered it while there were no incentives available. Then he noticed in a letter they sent him they had got part of his address wrong, he asked them to change it. The plank in Sky cancelled the order and re-issued the paperwork in order to rectify the address issue. But every cloud and all that, my colleague had seen an ad on Sky the night before offering €75 to a referrer and quite nicely he named me, so he is being installed on Mar 1st and they have taken the cost of his new Sky+ Box from his account. Then I get home from work today and I have received the vouchers you guys have been talking about here all week. I will try and get him to ring Sky on Monday and see if they'll do anything for us and scrap the original order and let us go for this offer instead. I have a feeling we won't get too far!

My mate is afraid to cancel in case he's waiting weeks for a new insatallation date, so I'll just have to try and shift my coupons. I posted in bargain alerts that I am willing to pay the €45 installation charge for a newbie, provided I am the referrer as I'm due a cheque for €75 from Sky, hope this is not against Boards Rules. So if interested please PM me. I am curious about two things in relation to this promo. 1, there is no mention of an installation charge for the existing Sky subscriber on the vouchrs or in the T&C's, and 2, what if you are lucky enough to refer two people? You hardly get two Sky+ boxes?

Remember a similar promo before Christmas, a lot of existing Sky subscriber's got the runaround when they tried to claim their free boxes. There is a worrying lack of knowledge when you ring Sky about this promo and no 'Introduce a Friend' option in any of the menu's you select.

Does anyone know, if you take up this deal, can you get any installer to do it, or will Sky send their own installer?

The reason I ask is that my sister might be interested in getting this, but it will likely be an awkward install and she would like to get one or two other jobs done (aerial + FTA in bedroom). Of course she will pay for the extras, but if it is a sky installer they mightn't do the other jobs.

Sky will send their own installer when you order directly from Sky.

Depending on how busy or amicable the installer will be, he/she may do the extra jobs too.

Spoke to Sky today - you don't need the vouchers to introduce someone just ring the number quoted in the previous post and give them the details.

my friend stupidely through out the vouchers he got and when i rang up sky to see if he could still introduce me they said no because i needed the number that would of been on the voucher:mad:

that's probably because you rang and not him - get him to ring they said this is definitely possible

I got notification of that offer from Sky as well and am willing to help somebody get a free box (along with myself :)). The thing is, i live in Tyrone. Do the recommendations work cross border?

is sky plus free ? or is there a monthly charge for having it ? Also my mate never got a voucher and has sky is everyone getting them or just some people ? Final question does sky plus still work if the sub runs out and you use it just for the fta channels ?
