Buying my first acoustic guitar

    has anyone got any tips or advice on buying my first acoustic guitar? in terms of price etc? good places in Dublin to buy one?

    I just went through this over the last few months (and finally bought my guitar last week) so I'm no pro however my biggest piece of advice would be to go with someone that plays acoustic guitar and is knowledgable. I went into every shop in Dublin and don't have that many friends that play so I was mostly alone. I found it very frustrating because majority of the people that helped me weren't very helpful. The best way is to get a friend to help you so you don't have to rely on the staff in the store. Also don't feel pressured!

    As for price from what I experienced for a beginner guitar you can find one for under €200 - we'll see how well mine does though ;) One more piece of advice was that the girl next to me bought the same guitar as me however hers was apparently more expensive!?! There's room for negotiations.
