    Hi Guys,

Anyone here done the 1 yr working visa in Canada? Hoping to head to Vancouver for a year in Feb and was wondering if anyones know if it is possible to get the visa sorted out this year and have it ready for Feb ?

    THanks

    D :)

Update: I just been doing some research and its says for the 2008 visa you must enter the country between April 1st and August 31st, so does the mean for the 2009 visa I would have to wait until April 1st 2009? And the year starts from then? Sorry I'm just a little confused!

They won't start releasing visas for 2009 until around Feb or later next year. The weather in Vancouver is mainly rain so holding off for a little while might not be a bad thing because the summers are amazing.

    Thanks Lost_for_words,

I've contacted USIT but they couldnt give me any info on 2009 (im sure they just dont have it yet at this stage) but I was considering going over in late December get my visa stamped and then heading home for a month and back over in early feb. My lease runs out on my apt at the end of Jan but if the weather is as good as you say it might be better to hold off until April and take advantage of that. I'm sure someone will take me in for a few weeks! :)
