Shocks next party is a double header with two heavy hitters... Ebony Bones & Cadence Weapon...

    Ebony Bones

Ebony Bones has been described as a sort of 'cultural chameleon', everything she sees is an inspiration, she spins ideas out of everything and nothing. In this oversaturated 'indie-dance' enviroment is rare to find an act with a bit of substance and respect for whats gone before as well as their own idea of what the future should sound like.

Starting from a blank page, like many acts Ebony put up tracks on myspace, and let her songs do the work. With the electricity and shock and awe these tracks conjured, it got the web in a spin, and the word spread like wild fire...
Basement Jaxx took notice, Timbaland jumped out of his seat, Jarvis Cocker was blown away and Richard X was so impressed he offered to produce her!

    Cadence Weapon

The second part of our double header is Rollie Pemberton aka Cadence Weapon. Following on from his critically acclaimed debut 'Breaking Kayfabe' he returns with 'Afterparty Babies' Dedicated to 'all the accidents out there,' the record is a testament to Pemberton's first influence, his father, Teddy Pemberton. A native of Brooklyn, NY, Mr. Pemberton created The Black Sound Experience radio show on the University of Alberta's CSJR station in
1980, and is credited with introducing hip-hop to Rollie's hometown of Edmonton, the capital city of Alberta.

Afterparty Babies is an almost indescribable explosion of ideas, feelings and musical vision fuelled by Mr. Weapon's experiences over the last few years as a writer, producer, touring artist and club DJ.

Pemberton has played shows with Spank Rock, Lady Sovereign, Jurassic 5, TTC, New Pornographers, Final Fantasy and De La Soul. He's remixed Lady Sovereign, Kid Sister, Disco D & he's been featured on tracks with Buck 65 and Anti MC all this and he's still only 21 years old.

Support comes from Shock's Stephen Reynolds, mixing up everything from dub to industrial! providing a suitable backdrop in the build up for the explosion that is the Ebony & Cadence Weapon live show.
