Sky HD boxes are expensive, but obviously work.

Are there any HD Dreamboxes that will work with the FTV card and do Ch4 HD?

Or... I have a Dragon Cam which works moderately well in the TM1500 with the FTV card.. could cam and card be used in a HD receiver?

I just got the Clarke-Tech 5000C HD receiver which I think could work with a Dragon Cam and FTV card. It's one of the cheaper hd combi receivers and so far I have been impressed with what it can do. It can pick up all the DTT transmissions including the HD mpeg4 test, bbc hd and astra 1 hd channels. The tuner sensitivity is better than a dreambox on weaker 16E channels. It can record to a USB drive. The menus take a bit of getting used to but it has a nice epg with 1 touch record. There is an active forum with helpful contributors. I think it shares hardware with the TM6900.
Ok it isn't the luxury of a Linux Dreambox HD but that hasn't yet seen the light of day.

    Hi
I think the new Darkbox 2008 Hd receiver will read your card with no need for a cam.The Darkbox 2007 Pvr reads my sky card no problems.
It is one of the cheapest Hd boxes out at 270euro.
Might be worth a look at.

Really? Can it update it too? I believe the Dreamboxes can, but the Dragon Cam can't, and hence the card has to go back into the Digibox once every 4 or 6 weeks.
