Here's a few from last night. This arch is magnificent and is certainly one of Donegal's hidden gems.

techinically not a picture of the arch, but number 4 is my favourite. Of the arch pix, the first one is my fave. B&W seems to serve it's subject better here than colour, especially as you had a very washed out winter sunshine going on

Completely agree with both parts of that comment.
I really like the colour and composition of the 4th.

Very nice stuff.1 and 3 are great.Lovely colours in 4 too, there's a place exactly like that down in Cork on the Beara Peninsula.I'm guessing this is a different one.

    Bradnailer,

This arch is 4 miles north of Portsalon on the Fanad Peninsula of Donegal.

Surprisingly, there are only a handful of photos of it online and none of any quality.

This is the photo that actually inspired my visit

    Very nice!

    Good work!

C'mere, that last shot you have up there, where exactly is that? I have a pretty distinct memory of walking through the silt at the banks around there with my granuncle a fair few years ago!

    Fajitas,

That's a good question. This was a "stop the car quick!!" kind of shot so I'm not entirely sure where it is. I think it is just after Croaghan Island in Mulroy Bay (or is that bit called Broad Water perhaps) coming south.

I believe it may be taken from Agharooney Point, perhaps looking across to Lamb's Isle.
