Wrist Injury -- exercise suggestions

I injured my wrist by falling on my elbow ice-skating about 6 weeks ago (elbow's fine now though!), and while I'm still doing weights in the gym, there's some things I can't do, and others I can't sustain (using discomfort as OK but pain as a stop sign).

It's the point where your wrist is at a 90% angle backward (eg. pushing open a door, doing dips, some dumbbell curls) that are not working for me.

Going to see a physio tomorrow (was out of the country for 4 weeks), but just wondered if you guys had any thoughts on it?

Had a lot of pain (elbow and wrist) initially and limited motion: time, gentle stretching and working with a stress ball has given me back most of the motion apart from the above.

after the physio has given their thoughts on the problem come back to us, but for now there's not much we can do - medical advice and whatnot.
