Group going to Alton Towers

There are 11 of us trying to organise a trip to Alton Towers soon, 4 couples and 3 single people. Surprisingly it is hard to get information about the hotels in Stoke-on-Trent or around the park.

Anyone have any recommendations of a good place to stay (or place to avoid), particularly anywhere that would accommodate a group of our size.

    Thanks

I went last year. We were only in a group of four but I recommend you stay at B and Bs close to the park. Are you going to be flying/getting the train/bus or driving?

We drove over on the ferry and stayed in one of the b and bs right next to the park. It was lovely. Out in the country and picturesque bt also 2 minute drive from rollercoasters. If you're not driving it might be difficult though.

stayed in quality hotel stoke on trent. Not 5* but not bad. Really cheap and has a pool and free car park.
Also, there's a travelodge along the road from stoke to alton towers..that might be worth a look.
If looking for B&B's, the town/village beside alton towers is (not surprisingly) called Alton :) Its very pretty, and Very hilly.

Well i wanted to check whether or not you were driving. There's no point me giving you a name if you aren't.

We found our B and B in the list recommended on the Alton Towers website. Did you look there?

    Ours was called Ribden farm.
