I sent a text last monday night and deleted the delivery report. is there any way of showing that this message was in fact sent and delivered to the number in question?

If it's a company account and you're not named on it you won't get the details from them (you shouldn't anyway, dam networks make too many mistakes though when it comes to data protection).

Stupid question but have you looked in your Sent messages folder? If you haven't deleted them then it should still be there. You can check the text in question to see if it was delivered using the sub menu.
