Not sure if this is for this forum, or if its been posted before, but theres 3 great books availible,CIE buses 1945 to 1987,midland publishing ISBN185780192X, Bus eireann a pictorial history1987 to 2006 ISBN0711032300,and Dublin bus 1987 to 2006 ISBN 0711032297, The last two are by ian allen publishing.Theres lots of streetscapes of ireland back in the day, i found them very well put together, interesting to read, they have lots of obscure info in the text.

The same Author Cyril McIntyre wrote three others, "Wheels around Connaught","Cork" and "Dublin" and were published by Stenlake Publishing Ltd. All three had lots of old photos.

Winged Wheel by Michael Corcoran and Gary Manahan is quite good also. Its a hard enough book to come by though.

Not so long ago it was difficult to get good books relating to irish motoring themes, or so it seemed anyway, its good to see so many being published these days.

I bought a book by Richard Newman called 'Irish buses in the mid-I960s.' Published by Colourpoint. 66 pages. I3 Euro in Easons. All pictures are b/w. Covers Belfast Corporation, CIE, Uta/UB and independents. Other good books are Streets of Belfast, 80 pages in full colour by Mark Kennedy and published by Ian Allan and A Nostalgic Look at Belfast trolleybuses I958-I968 by SLP publishing, written by Mike Maybin. I32 pages in b/w, few colour plates.
