I bought 100mm insulation for our cavity wall, not realising that the builder didnt know he should have had a wider cavity, now the insulation is filling the cavity.
we are 6 courses up, what do I do?
I was thinking of continuing with the cavity filled and adding a sika product me ensure the outside plaster will be water tight, this will prevent any moisture getting into the cavity.
Or am I better off to knock down what has been build and restart?
I could also just go with 60 from the existing 100 up to ensure the remaininder of the building is correct.

    What should I do?

knocking and rebuilding is only way to go now . but widening wall only ok if you know exactly what your doing with setting out dims

suggest switch to pump in poly beads now . dry line too . return the 100 boards if you can or use them in roof . or floor if you have not cast it yet

.....except keep going as you are IF and ONLY IF the insulation you got is intended as a full fill insulation batt or board .

Widening the cavity isnt really an option, would it be possible to knock one leaf and fitting 60mm?
I will checck with manufacturers tomorrow

Wall ties could become a problem if you do that.
