This is a recent shot I took while loitering outside a shop. I would be happy to have your comments and advice.

Can I take a guess on the shop being in Chicago.

back on topic the girl with her eyes closed looks a little outta focus

Joolsveer - i think as a capture of a moment in time, you spotted your moment and caught some nice expression / action. As such you aren't getting to place your subject hence the pole in the background while effectively portraying the urban landscape, kinda takes from the two ladies. I think Trish has a point about the focus - to me the bag also tells a little tale on the focus issue. How and ever, while there maybe technical flaws to be found, there's something very warm about the scene which you are to be credited for - the happiness / joy of the moment being shared, and i think this makes a nice 'people' image. The exif is gone from the image - i'm just wondering which camera mode did you shoot with ?

Hope that's of use to you but remember its only a single opinion (and not a professional one!)

    Regards.

    Thanks for the feedback.

It was a bit of a grab shot while I was waiting for my wife and daughter outside Abercrombie & Fitch in New York on Valentine's Day. The shop was too noisy for my ears. I liked the dynamism of these girls and the focussing was a bit off (I blame the camera!).

A bit off topic, but there's an interesting article on street photography here. I love the NYT website!
