Replacement iBook battery

    Hi,

    I have a 2yr old iBook G4 and the battery life and performance has suddenly started to diminish rapidly. I was thinking of buying a replacement battery to prolong my iBooks life...has anyone else replaced their battery and had good results?
    I dont want to pay 150eur for nothing and still have to get a new computer in a few months time ??

    Do a search on google for ibook battery replacement scheme - another ibook owner hear found that they were due a free battery. A while back there was a batch of batteries that . . . well . . exploded ! Do the search or look at some of the older posts on this forum - it wasn't too long ago.

    Yeah I was already aware of that, unfortunately my battery wasnt in that batch....although I sometimes wonder if its going to explode myself....it gets soo hot when charging !!
