    Hello,

Just air tested my house and used the ir camera to find problem areas. the main one i have found is the tilt and turn windows. the draught proofing between the hinges is very poor. I can feel the draught coming through. Any have any ideas or products to solve this problem. I have tried the draught strips but the dont seem to stay, maybe its the make.

I also found under some skirting where the plater did not go right down tot he floor is also not helping. I am going to see what kind of flexible filler i can use to solve this problem.

Can't answer the questions, but am curious as to where you got the camera?
    Is it hired?

The reason I ask is I want to do the same in my house.

the gear was my own. you can rent them i think, but poor quailty. but be warned there is a bit more than point and shoot with them to be accurate. takes up to 400hrs to be accreddited. if you want anymore info pm me

re the skirting, maybe expanded foam will help, it is suggested here:

I think you are in the right kind of money with that fluke for testing buildings. The big things to get right are the detector, how fast it can operate Hz and range of temperatures. Have a look around at NEC , infratec and flair before you make up your mind. Once the specs are right and price its a case of how it feels to use.
