Iphone v 1.1.2 keypad help please and txt messagaging

Just got the iphone from the USA yesterday. The phone is unlocked and am on 02. I am running v 1.1.2. Anyway problem is when i click on phone it opens for one second. When i click on text icon the same thing. Heres a video clip.

Think the iphone currently only supports sims from us uk china italy and some other places dont know the solution.

Check out i.unlock.no, this error is resolved by clicking on installer, going to instal, select tweaks for 1.1.2 and install iworld, select your country and apply, reboot iphone, and it will now work.

Thanks for that. now heres the other probelm. when i try and download Iworld i get the error message "package download failed. I am in a WIFI zone as i am able to surf the web and watch youtube clips.

any suggestions???

Try a different source, check out what sources you have and if you don't have i.unlock.no add it, also try installing the latest installer, I think that it is version 3. If that doesn't work try a little later on in the night as I did have some issue with this on one phone and I tried it an hour later and it worked.

Also I did find on a 1.0.2 phone that the wifi kept turning off , so before you do the install just insure that you connect to your network. try it a couple of times it should work,

Poo. Its still not working. I am on installer version 3. I refreshed the installer sources and all and still no joy. There might be a problems with the installer sources?? basically connot install any application. totally lost. So cant get the phone to work until i install iworld

Can you list what sources you have? I don't know why it wouldn't download , but what county are you located , maybe some one is close enough to take a look at it for you.

Yea it does look a little off putting, but it appears to be not too bad after reading it a couple of times, first you have to have an FTP client such as winscp, if you don't have one google it and down load it, it is free, you then log on to the iphone via the wifi, using the ip address assigned to it by you router, you either log on to you router and identify it from there or via the phone, it should be in settings ,it tells you how to find this out on a link in that page. You then copy the latest build of phone providers using the FTP program onto the phone and reboot it. Give it a try
Can I ask what method did you use to unlock the phone.

I bought it unclosed in the usa with a turbosim. So basically its picking up 02 and all just bleedin keyboard and sms arent working

I gather that the turbo sim means you do not have to unlock the phone? I suggest trying that method, and I will keep looking.

try adding iclarified to your sources they have a 1.1.2 appsupport which should fix your problem if you can not find iworld

BTW I presume you have tried refreshed your resources

Just incase your installer is hanging when trying to refresh put the autolock to never while you refresh your sources

Basically i added instaler.icarrified.com to the sources. No luck still tried everythin. Problem i have is it actually wont allow me to download basically anything?? anymore ideas besdies going mad !!!

cant download that hotfix either. I do have access to safari and youtbue. no idea why "package download fails"??

when you try to download do you see the option to clear queue have you tried to click that and keep doing it till you do not see it when you try to download
Then see if you can download

Lastly see if you can download the bsd subsystem if you can download that and install it and then see if you can install

I might suggest that you restore you phone to 1.1.2 ,NOTE be carefull follow the instructions on iphone.unlock.no. and start over. I would maybe suggest that you lose the turbo sim and unlock the phone.
Did you try the method using the FTP client?
