has anyone got a dualshock 3 or does anyone know if a controller imported from america or japan will work here on a european ps3.

is it the same story with games? i thought the ps3 was region free but dont want to risk buying a game to find out.

I got the DualShock 3 from Japan 3 months ago. I have never used the Sixazis since. Its super. Nice weight to it, I think Sixaxis feels too light and the rumble is nice to have back for PS2 and PS3 games.
Its fantastic in MotorStorm & Uncharted.

Sounds good. So what's the battery life like? I was thinking the rumble might drain it significantly faster than a sixaxis.

I got one from cdwow which looks like a Japanese one. Works really well with Warhawk so far as well as F1 and GT Prologue. Haven't seen a noticeable difference with battery life yet.

whiterebel, how long did it take cdwow to deliver the controller? I see they are €56 there, only €6 dearer than the standard one, not bad!!

Bit longer than usual for CDs, DVDs. Just shy of two weeks I think. It was posted on 28th january and I thinkI got it last Thursday or Friday.
They were out of stock when I ordered too, otherwise it would have left week earlier.

The PS3 is region free in everything,

except for online play with the games. You'll enounter problems trying to download updates from none-European games. ( you can get over that by creating an american account, but then you'll need another PSN ID:()

Since the offficial release of the Dualshock in the US, the videogamesplus price has droppped considerably. Was c €45 + delivery (another €10).

Ordered on off 'em last Friday for €43 (incl. delivery). Got it Tuesday.

don't order it from cdwow - I did on 8-Mar and just got another email to say it's delayed another week again

I'm gonna order it from elsewhere as it's become a joke at this stage.

Shipping is CA$8, making the item work out about €40, which is not bad.

I recently got one from VideoGamesPlus, and very happy with it. Worthwhile investment IMO.
