    Hello all,

I'm lifting heavy again and wondered if anyone knows where to get cheap (as in value for money, not poor materials) lifting shoes?

Hanley, I'm looking at you ;)

For what exercises(s)? Cons seem to be the allround favourite - good for squatting and dling.

If you want a heeled shoe for squatting then I bought these http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180197516484 just under 80E at the time and delivered in 3 days.

Also there can be some good deals on adistar and ironwork II shoes as well

    or
    http://store.wfwclub.com/shoes.html
or if you are back home james fleming in hercs is selling them for 70 euro.
These shoes are brilliant for squatting and do wins are good quality.

Adidas are the daddies though so if you want to spend the cash :D
BTW is Olympic weightlifting popular in Thailand they had 4-5 medals in Sydney for Women weightlifters

    Hey spiral,

    Yeah back home now :(

There wasn't much lifting where I was tbh. There were only a few gyms and most of them were crap. There was one was just about 'alright'. There was a couple of shows on though and god knows where they came from but there were dozens of big guys around for two different weekends. (one powerlifting meet and one bodybuilding).

Might give James fleming a call. Have you his number? And more importantly, would you recommend his merchandise? Feel free to pm me.

    Cheers mate

FTR James is an honest bloke and Do-wins are a reputable brand.

Dave as Tribulus said Do-Wins are good quality.Lots of lifters in Ireland and worldwide wear them competing. I wear them myself and have found them great to be honest absolutely no complaints. But to be fair Adidas are the Rolls Royce but are charged at that level as well.
Just to clarify the Irish Weightlifting association bought a good number of Do-wins so Irish lifters could get a good quality shoe at a reasonable price. James Fleming is selling them on behalf of the association not for any personal profit. I should have said that in the first place.
