    Well guys

I am in the middle of a degree at the moment and wondering what are the best ways of going on to do medicine when i finish. I know there is the gamsat for irish postgrad courses but i heard that was really competitive. Is there any alternative routes failing that. Would it be easier to get a course in the uk ?

Really would appreciate any advice at all

    Thanks

    Check out www.newmediamedicine.com

It's a forum for medical students, doctors and medic wannabes in the UK. I found it incredibly helpful for my application.

I'm fairly sure that pretty much all routes into medicine are fairly competitive, but as a graduate I'd suggest looking at the GAMSAT and applying to Ireland via CAO and the UK via UCAS; if you fancy it you could also sit the UKCAT for other UK applications to spread yourself around a bit more. I'd recommend those over resitting the LC, as for mature entry and other routes you'll have to ask someone else :)
