Gatland for the Lions?

Better than Eddie anyway. Coaches like Eddie and Clive Woodward aren't cut out for the Lions. Decent coaches in creating set ups and building a team long term-but not good for the Lions.

I could imagine Gatland wouldn't be the worst coach for the Lions but tbh Ian McGeegan is your only man for the Lions job imo.

I hear talk of Jake White.... well if you're going to take on the Boks in their backyard and try to expunge the shameful memory of the last lions tour...who better to give you the inside track...

White would be a good choice alright.

But on the current coaches, I don't think anyone stands out bar Gatland.

Ian McGeegan will be involved in some format anyway, It would make sense to make him coach, wasn't he coach in 97?

Lievermont? Well, lets wait more than 2 games!

Tbh, I'd prefer someone from the B&I Isles. These things are only for pride so might as well get everyone involved from the same boat. Give it better bragging rights.

This article is interesting. Not just because White is interested but because Davies says will look off-shore while the earlier article suggests preference for BI or Irish coach. Politics and the Henry experience will in my view see EOS get the job unless Ireland completely melt down in the 6N.
