OWEN RODDY LOST BY HEEL HOOK,
JOHN REDMOND WON BY ARM BAR,
PHIL MCRORY LOST BY ARM BAR,
THOMAS THE TANK EGAN WON BY GROUND AND POUND,
D LITHUANIAN BEAT THE SWEDISH FELLA BY GNP TOO,
THEY WERE ALL FIRST ROUND WINS.

just realised i was on caps lock and couldnt be arsed writing it again haha :D

great set up in Newry anyway,
well donr to Adrian and the lads on a great and very succesful show, cant wait for the next time round.

I think roddy lost by achilles lock (straight ankle) not being not being picky.
Darragh O Conaill Next Gen got stopped in the second round by Tommy Quinn from Sudden Impact. A great fight for both guys on their debut.

Just a quick word on the event itself. The venue itself was super, Bleacher seats really add to the atmosphere and resemble many of the venues used by smaller shows in the US.

Backstage area, was the best I have ever seen, Two big matted areas divided by a curtain, you could have had 6 pairs of lads rolling on each.

The Cage, the best I have ever stood in, and I have been in the cages of KOTC, Gladiator Challenge,UFC, Cage Rage, PXC, etc. I have assembled and disassemble the cage for the King of the Cage show in the states on at least 6 occasions. This was the most solid well built cage I have ever seen. Superb construction, really solid fence, great use of padding, no stray zip ties etc.

All in all a great show for a first time production or indeed any time. I know Adrian lost a couple of pro fights and this might have been the only gripe. But the standard of the semi pro and the pro were so good it was well worth it.

    Roll on the next one.

david i think it was a heel hook, it deffo started out as one, maybe he changed it to an achilles lock but from what i saw it looked a heel hook, but i aint being picky either :D

i agree with the venue, was a great spot.

i think it was a heel hook, it deffo started out as one,

Im only going on what I saw, I thought it was a straight ankle but he was lying on the wrong side, so might have looked like a heel hook, but still managed to get the tap. That and Roddy's ankle was sore afterwards, if it were a heel hook I would have thought knee? Anyway I could be mistaken.

Could of been either but heel hooks can do the ankle too!! might of been a bit of both..

Everyone is being a little picky, personally im going to believe Dave, because he had clearly talked to roddy after the fight, and is probably the most qualified(brown belt/T). Congrats on the show, and to the fighters.

Yes mate. It was an exhibition match. They had dancers on at the interval, a TV crew on site. The lot. Fantastic show. We were all blown away with the standard of it. 10/10.
