What a funny, yet utterly indecypherable name

    Al Pacino isn't that indecypherable.

What do you mean now this?

Oceans 13 is excrement of the highest order but many excellent actors have appeared in bond movies, its the longest running and most recognisable series of movies ever and with the rebirth of the franchise its a much grittier and realer film than it has been for a long time.

Cant make the godfather every movie!

I'm looking forward to one of Pacino's over-the-top zero-to-shout-in-0.84-secs performances in this

It's the name of a Bond story. You can't get more Bondish than that.

Sorry but i think a cameo role in Bond 22 and a role in the awful Ocean's 13 are beneath him. He is a talented actor.

He was in Gigli too - he's picked some poxy films.

I hope he goes down the maniacal road of Christopher Walken (also in Gigli ) in A View to a Kill.

    Emm anyone read this yet?

Craig wants bond to be gay in the new movie?
    http://www.breakingnews.ie/entertainment/mhojqlcwcwey/

Personly i dont care, if there was problems with contunituity then i would be bothered but really the bond we have now is not the same person as Dr No. - i mean how old would that make him?

00's have a short lifespan and each new actor we can assume the older one died and this one is the replacement because 006 died in a early bond movie and a different actor was in a later movie playing 006 - (i think im not that strong on the bond movies)

What do the rest of you think? does this bother anyone?

I'm pretty sure that was an april fools joke done in one of the newspapers.

    Here it is from wiki

The Daily Star (United Kingdom) printed a story quoting Daniel Craig as saying that the James Bond character should be modernised by making him bisexual

Leona Lewis is reportedly in talks to record the theme tune for the new James Bond film, Quantum of Solace.
Leona’s manager Simon Cowell is said to have suggested to the movie’s producers she would be great given that she has had huge success in both the UK and US.
It was last month that former Destiny’s Child star Beyonce Knowles was in talks to record the track after troubled singer Amy Winehouse pulled out.
Amy, 24, reportedly backed out of recording the coveted soundtrack after a bust up with producer Mark Ronson.
Last month, Ronson — who worked with Amy on her smash hit album Back to Black — said the ‘Rehab’ hitmaker was not in a fit state to make music; and that it would be “a miracle of science” if she recorded a song for the film.

I loved Chris Cornell's You Know My Name

    Leona has an amazing voice

I just saw the teaser for this in the cinema today, and I have to admit, it didn't come across particularly fantastic.

    Source Yahoo News
Bond producers have sensationally snubbed British acts in favour of American duo Alicia Keys and Jack White to record the theme for the forthcoming James Bond film, Quantum of the Solace.

Amy Winehouse, Mark Ronson, Leona Lewis and Duffy had previously been in the frame to record the signature tune but have been passed over by the film's producers.

Jack White and Alicia Keys will record Another Day to Die, the first duet in the history of James Bond theme tunes.
Jack White is best known as the frontman of rock bands The White Stripes and The Raconteurs whilst Keys has received international acclaim for her sultry brand of R&B. Some commentators however have expressed misgivings at the pairing suggesting that British artists would be more appropriate to record the theme given the content of the film.
Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli who produced the film said: "We are delighted and pleased to have two such exciting artists as Jack and Alicia."

    Interesting choice

I tend to agree. I was awfully underwhelmed by the trailer despite really wanting to like it.

    I like the title.

It follows on from the previous persona of danial craigs bond. Lets see if the title fits the film though.

    Whens it out.

    Disappointing choice tbh....very underwhelming.

The other names swimming about would have been perfect....would have loved to see what Amy Winehouse would have come up with.

    A hangover and some track-marks?

Would've preferred Jack White by himself, but sounds interesting

Shocking choice but hopefully they will only be singing the song and not composing it.

    Nope, Jack White wrote it

Well the theme tune by Jack White and Alicia Keys has been released.
    One word..Brutal.
Absolutely terrible mis mash of a song.

Jesus... I hope that's not the final version of the song. Hideous thing altogether.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,841 ✭✭✭Running Bing

    I hope thats not it?

Horrible. Sounds like two drunk people doing bad karaoke of a Dianna Ross song.

When I heard Jack White and Alicia Keys I feared...all those fears have been confirmed if that is the song. Its just all over the place.

    The theme tune is terrible
Princes William and Harry will attend the world premiere of the next James Bond film, Quantum of Solace.
They will be joined on the red carpet in London by 007 actor Daniel Craig, as well as co-stars including Dame Judi Dench and Gemma Arterton.
The Royal brothers have asked for proceeds from the event to benefit two charities - Help for Heroes and the Royal British Legion. The premiere will take place on 29 October in Leicester Square.
The film's producers, Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, said: "We are pleased this event will help raise much needed funds to support the servicemen of our country through the princes' chosen charities."
Since its launch last October, Help for Heroes has raised £6m for wounded servicemen and women.

The Royal British Legion provides support for those who are currently serving, or have served, in the Armed Forces and their families.

Quantum of Solace, the 22nd official film in the 007 series, picks up from Casino Royale as the secret agent sets out to avenge the apparent death of his lover. It has a bigger budget than Casino Royale and producers have promised more action.

The title is taken from a short story published by Bond creator Ian Fleming in 1960. It will hit cinemas on 31 October in the UK, with the rest of the world seeing it from early November.
