I bought i CA8-2(SL8) a while ago, its an awesome piece of kit! but the handguard has a really bad plastic seam which just bothers me! has anyone out there purchased a new handguard for the same reason? also is there a significant colour difference between the brands if anyone knows? i'd be lookin for a G36 handguard long version (maybe with bipod)! and known brands are Star, G&P, Dragon Arms, CA(eww)? Appreciate any help! :D

Out of the 3 brands i own (g&p star ca) they all have a slightly differant colour to them, its not massive but you would notice it, its a bit of luck somtimes with the seem lines and how noticable they are, you can even see them on the real steel versions.

New hand guard and a lovely new paintjob for the whole thing?

ive compaired my JG to a CA for the colour and i couldnt see any difference to be honest, you can get a metal RIS hand gaurd for them if your not happy with the finish of the one you have, trouble is that may have a slight colour difference seeing as the texture of the metal is different to the plastic on the standard ones.,., i suppose you could paint the whole gun really, its something ive been thinking about doing., it would look the biz in proper flat black., or come to think of it, i wonder what it would look like with some OD parts.,
