He seems to have settled nicely into the Welsh rugby mentality anyway. Win a couple of games and their world beaters over night. Don't forget that these guys underperformed almost as much as Ireland at the world cup. Since when they've been comprehensively outplayed by England for 40 mins, had a great 40 mins and then had a real mixed back against the Scots. Is he losing the run of himself already?
Having said that he's a pretty succesful coach all in all, and I'd say he'd love nothing more than to get one over on EOS in particular.

What is it about Wales and beating England early in the Championship? It's just like 2005 now, they've gone from being a handy enough looking fixture (albeit they're always dangerous) to suddently looking like a really tricky one.

He's absolutely right, especially compared to the French and Welsh...our game is innately conservative and forward oriented...thats why I want a good foreign coach with attacking rugby on the brain....

our passing and handling errors have been a feature of our play for the last 6 months so he is absolutely right

Our forwards are generally quite deficient in a lot of basic skills. I think in the last 6 Nations and World Cup our forwards passed the least of any team. However, I still think they are better than their Welsh counterparts as they do make up for it in other areas (and the introduction of Heaslip and Jackman certainly helps up the "skill" level of the pack).

i would prefer to hammer the welsh back to the stone age and ruin their hopes ,than to beat england.

but i dont have to prefer anything because we will beat the welsh easily and then beat england away,if we play like we did against france in the second half,then there is no point in wales showing up,we will hammer them.I cant wait,i hate welsh rugby fans

when on welsh rugby forums such as scrumv.co.uk and hearing any welsh person talk about rugby be it regular joes or pundits such as that jonathan davies dick ,their bias and jealosy is sickening.they badmouth every irish player,bitching about how bod is overated,when in reality they would give their right arm to have him.they feel its their god given right to be the champions of the "home nations" and any other team in europe is rubbish compared to them,as they are just going through constant "bad patches".

Your predjudice comes from the fact that everytime a welsh person is in the media talking about their team,they show nothing but biased views and make stupid excuses,if for example you see and englsh,Irish,welsh,scottish,french pundit talking about their respectful teams the welsh views are laughable.they come across as very patronising people with huge chips on their shoulders,as rugby is their main sport but yet they are still ****.

dont get me wrong,im sure welsh people are lovely outside rugby and they could relate to us but when it comes to rugby,there is no team i love to beat more

Uh yes you will. You'll hear Irish fans going on about how they'll hammer this, that and the other... 20 good minutes against France and you forget how sh*te you've been for the past year. You'll be reminiscing about the great BOD era in 20 years time and realise the team won nothing and that Irish fans have no right to expect to beat anybody.

You do get the other half though who are a little too pessimistic but still have a better grasp of reality than the smug lot

Ireland will beat wales anyway and all the points ive stated are 100% true.you can even tune into rte and see our pundits talking about how **** Ireland are i.e george hook.if you do the same in wales you wont see that

who have wales played?a disgracefull English team and a worse scotland team.they havent even been tested and Gatland starts talking about their skill etc.I think he is being very nieve and is setting himself up to look a right muppet when they are beaten by Ireland and then france.
